Nokia 5800 - half a million handsets shipped in just ONE month, If there was ever any proof needed that the Nokia 5800 is going to be a massive, massive seller, it’s arrived today in the shape of the Q4 sales report from Nokia CEO, Olli Pekka Kallasvuo, according to Engadget Mobile. It turns out that even before it gets released in the UK, whilst it’s been pushed in other countries like Russia, a huge big shedload of Nokia 5800s has been shipped by Nokia.
500, 000, to be exact…
In just one month…
Crikey, that’ a lot! Just goes to show, though, how popular Nokia are, and how popular touchscreen phones have become. Touchscreens are taking over, but I said, aaaaaaaaaaaaaages ago, that the Nokia 5800 would be one of the biggest selling of the lot, purely because it came from a certain company in Espoo, Finland. The iPhone may have some cool factor, but Nokia’s still the big boy in this marketplace! So, a big congratulations to Nokia, you’ve earned it by making the 5800 such a damn nice phone!
Now just imagine how big the sales figures’ll be when the Nokia N97 arrives…
Are you excited about the new Nokia 5800? You reckon it’s going to be the best thing in the world (at least till the N97 comes out)? Leave us a comment and share your excitement!
